Platelet Rich Plasma for hair growth: How it works and how I use it

Platelet rich plasma is a treatment for hair loss particularly male and female pattern hair loss or androgenetic alopecia. Growth factors within the platelets and plasma can create a milieu to promote hair growth. VEGF and GDNF as well as others may be important growth factors. Mechanism of action will be discussed. The practicalities of how PRP is used will be presented. Results of a recent published trial will be discussed.
